Lynsey Reed, Director of Donor Relations
“When I walk into the RMRP, I am at home. When I am with the volunteers, I am with family. When I see a bird fly free once more, I am fulfilled.”
Lynsey Reed
Lynsey joined the Raptor Program in August of 2004 as a volunteer and became an employee in May of 2005. In her time at the program, she started in the raptor care and education realm before moving on to devote her talents to fundraising and development.
Although Lynsey is skilled in all aspects of the RMRP she has focused her writing and organizational finesse in working with the donors and supporters that help to keep our doors open. Her hand-written thank you cards have become much enjoyed by all who receive them. In October 2017 she became the Director of Donor Relations.
Growing up in rural Colorado, Lynsey learned an early appreciation of all types of wildlife as well as domestic animals. She was grateful to be a recipient of the Griffin Foundation Scholarship, which allowed her to work less during her final years at CSU and spend more time volunteering at RMRP. After working several jobs through early college, including veterinary assisting, certified tutor, greenhouse technician, and waitress, she was ecstatic to finally settle at RMRP as her ‘forever home.’
