Tons Of Food Needed - No Kidding!
RatRMRP needs 50,000 mice, or 7,000 rats in a big hurry! No kidding... Six orphaned Great Horned Owls have been consuming 24 oz. of mice every day for the past 6 months. That's about 30 mice a day - or 5,400 mice. And that's just 6 of our 200 admissions in 2010.

Last year, 5 tons of food was donated, including 5,500 pounds of prairie dogs, to help us feed the 364 raptors we cared for. Unfortunately, we recently learned that those prairie dogs will not be coming this year. This means we are in the middle of a huge food shortfall.

Here’s how you can help…
1.    Raise prey food – At our place or yours. We need a steady stream of mice, rats, gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, etc. They can be 4H projects, control group mice and rats, or raised for fun and hobby. PLEASE CALL TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, 970-484-7756.
2.    Gift certificates for Layne Labs CLICK HERE They’ll send us plastic bags full of this essential raptor chow.

SORRY, we cannot accept wild caught food because of the risk of disease in already immuno-comprised patients.
